Hi I'm Julie (Jewels)

I was born into the Church, but my testimony has grown the most in the past few years.

About Me

I am a positive and spunky person. My favorite thing to do is spending time with my family. We love hanging out together and playing games. I have no children. I do have a special dog which I adopted January 3, 2013. He has been my companion and comfort in difficult times. I have three older brothers, to whom I am close. I have wonderful sisters-in-law. I have three nieces six nephews, two nieces-in-law, a nephew-in-law, and a great-niece. I like to bake and try out new recipes. I enjoy drawing with stencils and have an extensive stencil collection. I like watching the Denver Broncos play. I like stock car racing, but haven't had the opportunity to go to a race in a long time. I enjoy watching movies. I have an extensive movie collection, My passion was the theater and acting for many years. Back in Colorado I was active in my community theater group. I acted in productions, helped construct sets;. I served on the community theater board of directors. After having been unable to participate in the theater for quite some time, I am now part of the LaVerkin Community Theater. I am having the time of my life! Over the past couple years, I have been given many opportunities I never thought would be possible. My new passion is being a patient ambassador and advocate at my hemodialysis unit, as well as serve as a Dialysis Patient Citizens, Board of Directors member. The Lord has shown me my purpose on this earth, which I am following Him wherever He leads me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS faith. However, I am a Mormon because I have seen the Lord's work throughout my life. I had ancestors that were with Joseph Smith during the restoration of the church. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet. I know he saw Heavenly Father and Jesus appear to him in the Grove. I have seen too many miracles in my life to question the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and it's teachings. I am proof the power of Priesthood blessings, of the Atonement, of following the Word of Wisdom, and so much more. I invite everyone to learn more. It will change your life for the better.

How I live my faith

Although I was raised in the church, I have my own conversion story. After I became active in the church again, I was able to recognize Heavenly Father's hand throughout my life. My faith has been tested greatly over the past few years. My faith is the strongest thing in my life, and I greatly cherish it and the gospel. My faith has allowed me to be happy, no matter what comes my way. I know that He has a plan for me, and I trust in Him to lead me. I know what ever trial may come my way, there is a reason.
