Hi I'm Kayla Weishar

I am a California girl born and raised. I am becoming a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sister, daughter, niece, and granddaughter. My family means the absolute world to me. After my Father in Heaven and my Savior, my family is most important. I currently am interning at an imaging center to develop my skills to become a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or in other words an Ultrasound Technician. A passion of mine is to help and take care of others. I am a nurturer by nature, so I love the field that I am going into. I love to serve others, it brings me much joy. I enjoy being outdoors and witnessing the beautiful creations from Heavenly Father on this earth. I like to hike, ride bikes, go to the beach, and driving through the mountains. I cherish the friendships I make here in this life. I know that most of them will be eternal friends. I am just a young girl who likes to have fun, listen to country music, and dance my heart away.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not only because I was raised a member but because this Gospel has been the solid foundation in which my life has been based upon and been one of the fees constants in my life. I was born into the church since my mother was raised a member and my father converted when he was just 18 years old. But it wasn't until high school that I fully converted to the Gospel. I always was taught the church was true and that it was the right church to be a part of. I rested upon my parents testimonies until i experienced things that helped me build one of my own. In high school, I witnessed and experienced the temptations of the world. I saw how things that the church advises us not to do, does in fact take a negative toll on lives. I tested the waters, and made some mistakes. And that is when I gained my testimony of this church and the safety it assures when you follow the commandments. I learned through the power of repentance that my Heavenly Father will ALWAYS be there for me. He always wants me to draw near and closer to Him. He is a merciful being, and I have witnessed that myself. I am a Mormon because the gospel, my Savior, and my Father in Heaven are my anchor that keeps me grounded and on the straight and narrow path to eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an active member in my ward. I attend a home ward but go to a young single adults sunday school class. Within the class we plan activities and trips to the temples. I have organized many temple trips and activities for the young single adults in our ward. Planning and organizing these trips and activities help unite the young single adults and in turn we help keep each other stay active and on the right path. I also live my faith outside of church. I try to be an example of Christ in my everyday life, in the ways I act, talk, listen, and treat others. I try to use my faith in Christ to emit His light from my countenance for those around me to see. I believe being an example is one of the greatest ways to bring people unto Christ.
