Hi I'm Rylee Waters

I am the oldest of five children. I have lived in many different places. I am Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love sports, especially soccer. I have been playing since I was five and have played basketball, t-ball, and some volleyball. I have mostly played on school teams and on Air Force bases. My father is a member of the Air Force and as a result we have moved around a bit. It's had it's ups and downs, but mostly ups. Because of the gospel being everywhere, my family and I are able to make friends quickly and find stability in our lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I have enjoyed being a member of this church. It has made me a better person and I know this sounds cliche but I honestly don't know what I would do with out the church. I have made majority of my friends because of the church and I keep in contact with a lot of them. They have been as much of a teacher as those holding that calling. They have strengthened my testimony of the gospel and my love for it. I know this gospel is true and can be found anywhere on the earth. I know Joseph Smith helped restore the Christ's true church in this dispensation and translated the Book of Mormon. I know Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet today and he recieves revelation for the whole church. I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

At the age 12 the youth, both boys and girls become a part of young men and young women respectively. I have been a president in the young women's program and was asked to plan activities for the youth and to actively participate in meetings. I have also been called to teach the children in my ward and I've loved it. They have taught me more than I have taught them. I have loved every minute of it.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Rylee Waters
All Mormons are not required to serve missions but they encouraged to serve. Young men can leave to serve when they turn 18 and 19 for young women. It is 18 months or 2 years spent away from your family so others can spend an eternity with theirs. Show more Show less
