Hi I'm Elizabeth

I love laughing, traveling, and learning. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Idaho, the eldest of six children, and I absolutely love my family. I've had the opportunity to travel to various places around the world throughout my life, and those experiences have played a big role in shaping who I am. My family lived in India for five months when I was in 8th grade, and that was the beginning of the deep love I have both for Asia and for exploring the world. I've traveled around the United States, England, and Wales. I also recently had the incredible experience of briefly visiting Thailand, and living in China for four months, teaching at two kindergartens in the beautiful city of Suzhou. I am studying Sociology, because it intrigues me, and I want to improve the world I live in. In addition to my love of seeing new places, and learning about cultures, some things I love are postcards/letters, funny stories, eating chocolate, reading, and playing piano and guitar.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, with two amazing parents who taught me the importance of its teachings. Early on I developed a testimony of my own as I felt happiness and peace through attending church meetings and reading the Book of Mormon. It has been the greatest strength and joy to me throughout my life. I know that God loves me and every other person on Earth, even more then we can imagine. I have come to know the truth of this gospel for myself, and I firmly believe that it blesses lives. The Atonement is a wonderful gift for everyone. I love my Savior, and know that through Him I have found contentment and peace during my trials. This church teaches only good, and I love it in my life.

How I live my faith

I try to live the best life I can in harmony with the gospel. I love the chances I've had to provide service to others as a member of the church. I think that service and love are essential to living my faith, any time any place. It is easy to love people when you serve them, and see them as a child of God. In February I will begin my 18 month full time mission for the church, and I am so excited to be able to bring the happiness of the gospel to the people in New Caledonia, through the French language.
