Hi I'm Emma

I'm a singer. I'm a traveler. I'm a Missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Emma. I was raised in the LDS church by a loving and supportive family. I love musical theatre, children, junk food, and the gospel of course. I attended college, though I'm temporarily putting it on hold to serve as a missionary. I'm passionate about music and performing, though I don't know what I want to pursue as a career. I know one thing I'm certain of desiring though - to one day marry in the temple and raise a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown to truly love and believe this gospel. I was always raised in the church - I went to church every week with my family, I was baptized right when I turned 8, we prayed as a family every night - but I don't think I was fully converted until I began to diligently study the scriptures and doctrine by myself, for myself. I have had the Spirit testify to me that I truly am a daughter of God, and that he knows and loves me personally. With that knowledge has come the realization that everyone I meet, every person who's ever lived, is known and loved by God as well, whether they know that or not. I know that my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for my sins, so that I can one day return to live with God again. I know that He alone made that possible. I know that through him, though I am imperfect, I can become clean and pure through repentance. Christ is my ultimate example. I strive to remember him and become more like him. The gospel has also brought a total sense of purpose, joy, and peace to my life. The plan Christ set forth truly is one of happiness - I know that following Him will lead one to happiness in this life as well as eternal happiness in the next. I have also received the confirmation that the Book of Mormon is true. It truly is wonderful, and I learn something new from it every time I read it. I believe in personal, continuing revelation. I know that God hears and answers my prayers. I also know that He leads and directs his church, even today, through living prophets. I love this gospel so much, and I know that it is true.

How I live my faith

I always took religion classes during school. I read my scriptures and pray daily, to actively build upon my faith and testimony. I strive to be Christlike and loving. I have served in my church as a nursery leader - so I taught and played with young children during church. And it was a blast, I really love kids. I also served as a sunday school teacher - so I prepared lessons and taught people my age and older for an hour each week. I am now serving as a full-time missionary!
