Hi I'm Brian Thomas

I grew up in Granger, Utah, and now live in Kaysville, Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the father of a family of 7. My wife and I have 5 children - three girls and two boys. As a family we love to vacation together. Some of our favorite places to go include Lake Powell, the Oregon Coast, the mountains of Utah, and any warm sunny ocean beach! I enjoy the outdoors, and love to ride ATV's and snowmobiles. Our family enjoys boating in the summer, the kids love to wakeboard, kneeboard, and tube. Hard to beat a good day on the water. I attended college in Utah and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. I enjoy my career in that field, and work for a local engineering firm. I currently live in Kaysville Utah, and love the community here.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up and was raised in a family that attended this church, but I became truly converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as I studied the gospel, prayed to my Heavenly Father, and lived the teachings of the gospel. I find tremendous joy and peace in my life as I live the gospel and serve my Heavenly Father by serving other of his children. I am tremendously grateful for the relationship this church has enabled me to develop with the Savior Jesus Christ. I am grateful for the Savior, and all he has done and the gifts he has given me. I also appreciate all the church does to help me be a better father, and the help it provides me in raising my children. I love the lessons my children learn, and all of the positive influences it provides in their lives. I know that this church helps me and my family be better people, and helps us to live in a way that is pleasing to my Heavenly Father. I know that it is possible to find great peace in joy in living the gospel. I have no doubts that my Savior lives, and He is there as I seek him out. I love the joy that comes into my life by being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and living the gospel!

How I live my faith

In addition to attending and participating in regular Sunday Services, I currently help in my church by working with youth. I work with the young men ages 16 to 18. I along with others, teach them on Sundays in a class we hold with just the young men of that age. We teach lessons tailored just for them centered around their needs. We also have a weekly activity where we learn valuable lessons, help them grow, and have a lot fun together. I find it incredibly rewarding to associate with these young men!
