Hi I'm Allie Adcock

I'm Hawaiian, Filipino, Chinese, Tahitian. I dance hula. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an (almost) 18 year old high school senior. I am the high school yearbook staff's "everything" editor. I will be attending the University of Arkansas in the fall. I enjoy dancing hula, cooking, baking, sewing, shopping, and documenting my life via pictures.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an active Mormon family- so I was always expected to go to church. Which I did. Growing up in the LDS church as a teenager in Utah is hard, but I tried my best to be "an example of the believers." August, 2013 I was determined to read the Book of Mormon in a week- or less. I was about to start my senior year of high school, and not yet being converted 100%, and I wanted to read the book cover to cover before the school year started. Within 6 days I had read the entire BOM cover to cover. On the last night I prayed to my beloved Heavenly Father asking if the book was true. In the middle of the night I heard a voice in my head say, "the Book of Mormon is true" and I went right back asleep. This simple yet powerful expression was an element that inspired my conversion. Along with the BOM, I have a strong testimony of the Bible, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. I believe God has provided us with these books in the latter days to prepare ourselves for the second coming of his son, and our beloved savior, Jesus Christ. Through Christ's atonement we can become perfect. I believe that Joseph Smith was and is a prophet of God. Through the power of God he DID translate the Book of Mormon. I believe the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church on the earth today, and through Jesus Christ's teachings we can find true and everlasting happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith primarily through example. I exemplify the LDS church in all things that I do. I have been called as my seminary class president, and with that I take upon the duty of preparing devotionals every class, and encouraging students to come to class and feel the spirit. I always carry around a small book of mormon in my purse- you never know when you might have a chance to share the gospel!
