Hi I'm Brenda

I am a wife, a mother, grandmother, nurse, and farmer. I love to care for people and the land. I am a Mormon.

About Me

To spend time with my family, whether at work or play, is my favorite thing to do. We enjoy riding horses and 4-wheelers or just dinner and a movie and playing games at home together brings me joy. I enjoy scrap-booking and recording memories with pictures. Pictures are one of my most favorite things. I love to meet new people. I love to try new recipes and have tried a new recipe every week for most of my married life!. I live in a place with all of the different seasons and I have always enjoyed the change of season. Snow skiing, sledding, water-skiing, camping, are some things I enjoy. Music is also very important to me and I love to play the piano.I am trying to learn to play the guitar. I love to accompany my children when they play their musical instruments. I like to try new things and when I have the means, I like to travel to new places. Exercise is one of my favorite things, but I don't like to do the same kinds of exercise all of the time. I like biking, zumba, videos, running, cross-country skiing, jumping rope. . .so I'm not an expert at any of them but really enjoy the variety. Last, I love dirt. . (just not in my house). I grew up farming as a child and I still enjoy it. I love the planting and caring and harvesting.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon since I was young and then when I turned 8 was baptized. It was when I was 14 that I wanted to know for sure if the choice I had made at 8 was right for me. I went to a quiet place - which happened to be inside the car inside the garage. I knelt down between the seats and prayed to God and asked him if the choice I had made was right. I knew then that it was right. I continue to love and live the gospel and am so thankful for the way of life it provides for me and my family as we live the principles it teaches.

How I live my faith

I teach girls and boys 16-18 in my ward. I am a visiting teacher and I get to visit with 3 very wonderful women and their families. I learn so much from other people. I just helped with the Community Christmas party. We had a great meal and a lot of fun. I love to serve where ever and any way I can. I believe that is why we are here.
