Hi I'm Adam

I've grown up all over the United States. I attended BYU. I'm serving a mission in Korea. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attended BYU for a year. I am now serving a mission in Korea. I grew up in Texas, Washington, and Virginia. I've played many sports but my most favorite sport to play is sevens rugby. I was captain of two robotics teams while I was in high school. I play video games occasionally but I'm not very good. I love to go camping, hiking, canoeing, fishing, or anything outside really.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because when I live the principles found in this religion I am happy. By following the precepts outlined in Mormonism I avoid addiction, offensive words, extreme appearance, and destructive or inappropriate relationships. As a college kid the opportunities to get into trouble are frequently present and I honestly believe I owe my clean record and good health to the safe happy life that being a Mormon. I also appreciate the good relationships being a Mormon has helped me form. Knowing I have the opportunity to be with my family forever encourage me to strengthen my relationship with them. Additionally, I have made incredible friends that share similar standards by participating in church activities.

How I live my faith

In the church I've had the opportunity to lead my peers and organize events. I've also gotten to teach younger children which was amazing. I will be attending a mission for two years in Korea soon.

Are Mormons Christians?

Adam
I feel like many Mormons who are asked this question give a very short and insufficient answer: "of course we're Christian! The name of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints." While true this answer gives no real information about what we believe. We're christian, not because of our name but what we believe and do. We study Christ throughout our lives and do our best to emulate him in every way. Our goal is to be representatives of Christ at all times in all things and in all places; that's why Mormons are Christians. Show more Show less
