Hi I'm Austin

I grew up in Colorado, I love to sing, and I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

At the moment, I am in college, and am loving every single minute of it! School has always been important to me, and I can't really explain why I love it so much. I believe it is a gift of the Spirit. The things I love about school are the opportunities to make new friends and to develop my talents and knowledge. I love meeting new people! Some of the closest friends I have are the ones I made about a year ago, and I am still making new ones. My interests are very art-centered. I love music (singing, dancing, you name it!) visual arts, and theater! Though they bring such joy to my life, I am studying to become an architect and hopefully be able to support a family through creating structures while implementing my passion for the arts at the same time. I always tell people I want to perform "in my life, but not necessarily for my life." There is nothing that brings me more joy, however, than recognizing the blessings I have been given. To put this bluntly, I love nearly everything about life and Heavenly Father's creation.

Why I am a Mormon

I may have been born in the church, but I made the choice to remain a member based on how Jesus Christ has assisted me in different challenges of my life. The path has been full of obstacles placed in my way, but I had to learn how to use Christ as the guide in front of me, put my trust in His hand, and allow Him to lead me through darkness. His gospel brings me joy: such immense joy that I cannot wait to share it with everyone as I go forth to serve and spread word of it. Many people compliment me on my happiness and enthusiasm about life. The reason why I'm so happy is because I have the Church in my life, and I want nothing more than to help people realize its potential to make them as happy as I am, or even happier. That potential keeps me going, going, going, until I have achieved what my mission is on this earth. I do not know what it is quite yet, but I will when I get there.

How I live my faith

Even as a college student, I am still learning how I can be an asset to the community, but I try to serve as much as I can, whether it be as a member of clubs or simply by being myself. I do my best to interact with everyone while keeping a smile on my face and pointing out only the best things they have been blessed with. When I was in my first year at college, I was appointed to be a leader of a group that met every Monday night to build relationships with each other and learn more about what we do in our faith. Each time we met, our friendships grew stronger and we could trust not only each other, but also our Heavenly Father, to help us do the right thing whether it be service or having a spiritually enjoyable time. At the moment, I am studying to become an effective missionary for the Church
