Hi I'm Kylie Hansen

I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hi I'm Kylie. I have been a Mormon my whole life. I love reading anything I can get my hands on. I am a high school graduate and moving on to the world of college. First, however, I will be serving a mission in Santiago, Chile. I grew up in southeastern Idaho. Due to divorce and remarriage, my family moved to Connecticut. I love people and learning about new ways of life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe with my whole heart. In The Book of Mormon, the last prophet to record bore a testimony and gave a challenge with a promise. Moroni 10:4-5 reads, " And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask‍ God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith‍ in Christ, he will manifest‍ the truth‍ of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know‍ the truth‍ of all things." As one of the last exhortations given in The Book of Mormon it is vital to every reader. I have read The Book of Mormon. I have asked. And I have received that witness of its truth in my heart and in my mind. This Church means everything to me. My family is bound together for time and all eternity. I can receive personal revelation from my Father in Heaven. I know that I am His daughter. I have a Savior who took my sins upon Him and because of His Atonement I can return to my Father. There is a living prophet upon the earth, Thomas S. Monson, and he is the very mouthpiece of the Father. I have felt the power of the Holy Ghost testify to me of these truths as I have knelt before my Father in Heaven. As Joseph Smith said, so I say of the witness I have recieved, " I knew it and I knew that God knew it. And I could not deny it."

How I live my faith

Living my faith doesn't come without knowing my faith. As I prepare to go out into the world to preach the gospel, I have found that this day-to-day preparation brings new and different patterns of living. Missions require high standards of conduct of each missionary called. Learning and implementing these standards into my life have helped me to serve those around me that I see who need a helping hand, listening ear, or kind word.
