Hi I'm Jared

I grew up in Houston, I love music, I love to learn, I'm a student, I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

In my life right now I have the opportunity to be a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was studying before my mission to become a doctor and have always been amazed with how complex the human body is. I love to learn about anything and everything. I grew up in a house full of music. So naturally music became a big part of my life. Growing up I loved going to concerts and had a job helping bands make connections that would gain them recognition and play bigger and better venues. There is something about music that transcends cultures and unites people that has always been a blessing in my life. Skateboarding, snowboarding, longboarding... anything with a board seems to keep me busy and my mind clear. I love learning about different cultures and how they bring new ideas and improve my understanding of the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have received a witness that the Book of Mormon is what is says it is. Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is scripture, it has blessed my life and taught me how I can become a better man. As I have turned my will over to God I have seen my ability to help other increase. I have been blessed with the opportunity to see the gospel change people's lives, most of all my own. I have seen that as we turn our lives over to God and make sincere changes we can receive lasting peace. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is how I have seen lasting peace and received hope in my life. As I have read the Bible and the Book of Mormon together I have come to understand my role in God's plan. I know that God loves each of us and knows us individually. I have learned that receiving this knowledge can give us a power to overcome trials and to persevere through some of the darkest times in our lives. I know that Christ awaits those who will with a sincere heart invite him into their lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday. I have the blessing of being able to help many people. I have the opportunity to help people find peace, hope, and strength to get through many of the heart breaking and challenging things that make up this life through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. I love to see people realize that they do have a choice, they can change their lives and that God does care about them individually and wants them to be happy. I live my faith by turning to God when I need help, when I need strength and when I just need someone to talk to.
