Hi I'm Brandon Doman

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have been involved in athletics most my life as a player and coach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the sixth out of seven children in my family. All my brothers and sisters, including me, have moved within 15 miles of each other. Our parents live right in the heart of us all. We have all married and started our own families. There are over 35 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. My family is everything to me. I am grateful to have been born of goodly parents. I am married to a wonderful wife and we have five children of our own. They are active in church activities, school, dancing, singing, and especially sports. I have been involved all my life with sports as a player and professionally as a coach. I am grateful for the lasting principles that I have learned through sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that there is a Heavenly Father that has created a plan for us here on earth. I believe our Heavenly Father has provided structure and clarity as to how to govern ourselves here on the earth. He has provided revelation and direct guidance to his servants the prophets. Through scripture and the priesthood, we can know sacred truths. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints contains the restored gospel, necessary for our eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

My faith is my central driving motivation in my life. It impacts my daily decisions. I currently serve as a Bishop of a church congregation of 500 members. This is a voluntary position that I accepted by calling (invitation). We are not paid for our clergy work, and I am grateful for this time in my life to serve the members of my ward (neighborhood). In this congregation we have over 100 children from the ages 3-11 and 90 youth from 12-18. We have 150 families that make a wonderful contribution to all the service needed to run and organize such an effort. We ask our members to do many things that require their time, and they do it with such willing hearts and minds. I can't imagine my life without the perspective of the gospel as I fulfill my responsibilities with my full time job as a husband, father, and employee at work.
