Hi I'm Corrine

I love music, teaching, the change of seasons, and my family. I'm a quarter Samoan and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love so many things but talking about myself is not one of them! I grew up in a family that loved music. My grandpa is from Samoa and so he was always involved in some sort of lu'au. Because of that I gained a love of dancing, music and good food. I grew up singing and love to sing any opportunity I have. Coming up with harmonies is one of my favorite things to do when singing with a friend. I love playing games with my family and friends and I spend a lot of time, outside of school, learning new games. I grew up in the Church with a wonderful family who were always there for me if I ever needed anything. I love to help others and I think that is part of the reason I became a teacher. I am currently teaching my 3rd year of 3rd grade. The kids make everyday interesting and I am lucky enough to have a job I love going to each day! I love to read, it is amazing to me how involved I become in a good book. The thing I love about reading is that I have a chance to 'visit' a new world. I can leave all of my cares for a moment and get lost in a good book.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but that is not why I am a member. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know that it is true. I know that I am not perfect but that I can try to be better each day. We all have shortcomings but what is most important is that we try to learn from those shortcomings. I know that by following the Prophets and leaders of the church I am doing what God wants me to do. I am a member because I have felt the spirit and I know that I am right where I need to be.

How I live my faith

I try every day to be a better person and I think that is the most important way I live my faith. One way that I live my faith is by serving others. Through service I am able to share the Lord's love with those around me. I believe that any act of love can help those around us.
