Hi I'm Jasmin Mejia

I collect gum wrapper hearts, piano is my love, and putting on the missionary tag for the next 18 months! Proud to be a Mormon!

About Me

For the next year and a half I will be serving as a full time sister missionary in the state of Ohio. I absolutely love playing the piano. I could sit and play or listen to it all day. Have i done that a few times?... Maybe. I can also play a little of the violin. Soccer is by far my favorite sport. My dream is to be an orthodontist! Anything having having to do with teeth will be great though. My family and I have lived in many different places (shout out to Colorado and Wisconsin!) and we have also traveled to many beautiful places. I love my family, and I love knowing I will be with them for eternity!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church, but that doesn't mean I was forced to accept this gospel. At the age of 8 I made my own decision to be baptized into this church, however my testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel and church didn't come until recently, me being 19 years old. We all go through our own trials and we all have a source to turn to. As I turned AWAY from the gospel of Jesus Christ and his church, I struggled. However, as I turned to the church and as I turned to my Savior, I was able to see how much more strength I had physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually to overcome my trials. I am much more happier by living the standards and the doctrines put forth in this church. I have read the Book of Mormon, and I have prayed to know if it is true. I know it is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I know that this church is the true church of God on the earth because of all the things Joseph went through to restore it. He wouldn't have done it if it were not true! This church and this gospel brings me the peace and the happiness that I yearn for whenever I go through hard times. Because of it, I am happy to be a Mormon! :)

How I live my faith

Soon I will be called to serve as a full time missionary. I will spend the next year a half in a certain area in the state of Ohio, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone I meet. My purpose as a missionary will be to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive this restored gospel. I have been previously called to play the piano for many different purposes in my church as well. I have also participated in visiting teaching. This is just visiting with people in our wards and being there for anything they need. There are also many activities provided by the church that I love to go to such as family holiday parties.
