Hi I'm Isaiah

I'm from the Pacific North West. I like to rap and make music. I'm a sneaker fanatic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After graduating high school I attended Brigham Young University- Idaho. After a couple semesters I decided to move back home and start working. While working two jobs, I got to spend more time with a close group of friends who introduced me to hip-hop. Music is my passion, I love spending time in my friend's recording studio making beats. I could do it for hours. I love to play sports like soccer, futsal, swimming, and basketball. I'm currently preparing to serve a mission for the LDS church in Veracruz, Mexico.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been raised in this church, but my faith has been on and off. After high school, I thought it was just holding me back from having fun like all my friends were as they moved away and went off to college. It took me too long to realize that I was not living a happy life. There was something missing in my life. I mean, I was going to a university that was full of Latter-Day Saint youth, but I hadn't really fully understood.. why? A mission was always my ultimate goal, and I thought I could just go and come back like it was no big deal. I knew in the depths of my soul I needed to make a change. I started actively going to church and making an effort to learn about the gospel, I was reading my scriptures almost daily, and most importantly, I was praying. When I pray, my days are filled with purpose. A 15 hour shift can feel like 30 minutes, and I do it with a smile on my face (it really annoyed my co-workers). I want to serve a mission so I can share the joy that has been brought into my life with anybody that is willing to listen with an open heart. I'm very excited to serve the people in Veracruz, Mexico! I don't even know them and I already love them. I love my Savior, and I know, with every ounce of my existence, that this is the true gospel on the Earth today.

How I live my faith

While working at Target, I had the chance to participate in many service projects in my community through their various "team building" programs, whether it be checking the local food banks cans for expired food, or jumping in the frozen river in the dead of winter to raise money for cancer. Doing these things helped my community as well as strengthen my faith in Christ though turning out wards. I've also had several opportunities serve my community through the LDS church. Almost any given Saturday during the summer, you can see the "Mormons" landscaping one of the longest stretch of paths at a local park.
