Hi I'm Carol Jean

I am a south Louisiana girl who was looking for something more in my life. That is why I am a Mormon.

About Me

Speech/Language pathology is my career and I have practiced for 30 years both in medical and school settings. I am a good teacher and enjoying serving. I reared a family of three children and have eight grandchildren. Now I have retired and my family is independent and doing well, I am planning on going on a mission to serve the Savior by serving my fellowman. My call is to San Jose, California to serve at the LDS Employment Resource Center. I am excited about going.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young mother of two small children I found my life was not fulfilling and there was something missing. I heard that my brother who lived hundreds of miles away had joined the Mormon Church and stopped drinking. He was a regular at the local bar. I wondered what he found and what had made such a change in him. I looked up the phone number for the Missionaries in my town (that was when we had the Yellow Pages) and called and ask them to "Come and tell me about their Church". All that I heard and read was logical and I felt that it could only be true. I prayed about joining the church sitting by my Grandmother grave and was overcome with the feeling that this was the right thing to do.

How I live my faith

I am spending my life studying about the Savior and living the Gospel. Each day I strive to be a peace maker and have love in my heart for all. Family history is my hobby and I share that interest with others and help them. By example I try to be loving and kind to all. I support the Constitution of the USA and strive to work within the political system to maintain the strength of my country. I speak out about my belief that a religious country is a strong country.
