Hi I'm Corinne Bigelow

I am preparing to serve a mission in Twin Falls Idaho. I'm a Mormon

About Me

My name is Corinne and I grew up in Central California. I am 19 and just finished my second year at BYU-Idaho. I am currently preparing to serve a mission in Twin Falls Idaho and couldn't be more excited! I love to play the piano. My favorite sport to play is golf, but I love to watch a good baseball game. My goal when I finish my mission is to go back to school and have a family. I am all around a really happy and positive person and I love to meet new people!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and I didn't realize until now what a blessing that is. Like the typical teenager who has been raised in the church, I started to question weather the church was true or not. I struggled for a long time and lost my way and my testimony. That was the darkest time in my life. I felt alone and confused as to what I should do with my life. When I chose to attend BYU-Idaho is when my life started to change. I became really close to a roommate who was an incredible example to me of a Mormon. She never judged me though, she was just there for me and listened to what I had to say. I was jealous of the way she lived her life. She was happy and I hadn't been for a long time. So one day it just hit me and I decided to start living the Gospel again. I have never made a better decision in my life. I did what I needed to do to get my life back on track and I noticed that I was happier and I was being blessed for my decision. Today I am preparing to serve a mission so that others can have what I have. I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. The Gospel of Jesus Christ brings true happiness to peoples lives and I have already seen it change my life. I love my Savior. He is always there even if we make mistakes. The knowledge that I have of the truth is such a blessing and comfort to me. Knowing that I will get to be with my family forever is truly amazing. I know my Savior lives and that he loves me. I know the Book of Mormon is true because I have felt it. The Atonement is real and it has saved my life. It is a gift that our Heavenly Father has given us so that through him we may become perfect again. I know that this church is true with all my heart and I have never been more sure of anything. I am grateful for the chance I have to serve a mission and teach others of Christ and his amazing church. I am a Mormon because I know it's true. I am a Mormon because it brings true happiness into my life.

How I live my faith

Being Mormon isn't a religion, it's a lifestyle. Everyday I am either doing something for my calling, doing service, or simply just reading my scriptures. Currently I am a Sunday School teacher and absolutely love it. Like I said in my "about me" I am preparing to serve a mission. To serve as a full time missionary, you have to be worthy and be living by the church standards everyday. A mission wasn't an easy decision. I know there will be hard times, but I am willing to endure the trials to bring the blessing of knowledge and happiness to other people's lives. I live my religion to the fullest everyday because only the Gospel of Jesus Christ can bring true happiness into your life.
