Hi I'm Hailey Albrecht

I am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Independence, Missouri! And Loving every Second!

About Me

Growing up and still today, I have always loved sports I played Competitive Softball ever since I can remember, my dad also encouraged me to play basketball and although I wasn't a very good shot, I loved to play I started playing with boy teams and when I was old enough to play for the 9th grade girls basketball team, I tried out and made the team and gained some of my life long friends. I continued to play basketball throughout all of high school. I graduated last year(2013) from high school and loved every minute of school. In deciding the next plans for my life, I felt I was to serve a Mission and am so excited for that experience, I received my call and in Jan. will head out to serve in the Independence, Missouri Mission, and although I'm a little nervous for this new adventure I can't be more excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because the gospel of Jesus Christ brings me so much happiness. Once on a trek with my stake, a man got up and talked around a campfire, he gave us a paper and a pencil and told us to write down seven of our most prize possessions, then he said now like the pioneers you have to get up and leave your homes many of the kids in the group had said things in their homes that were impossible to take with them as their most prized possessions. So they had to leave them behind, the man continue with our journey, and continued to tell us things that the pioneers went though that made them lose some of their most prize possessions, along with the possessions we had on our lists too. All too soon our lists were down to nothing, the only thing left on my list was my family, and just when I thought the man was done removing items from our list, he said now many of the pioneers lost family members, so then I had to remove my family off my list as if they had past away and It broke my Heart, my family out of everything on my list was truly my most prized. I then was down to nothing on my list, along with everyone else. Then the man asked, "what do you have?", as we all exclaimed, "nothing!", he said, " Oh but you are wrong, You have the Gospel of Jesus Christ","You have all the blessings you receive, through this gospel, you have the knowledge of his plan, and that it is the plan of happiness, and you have the knowledge that you will return to our father in heaven, and live with your family again!" You have everything with this Gospel! At that point I realized that without this gospel, I would have nothing, but I do have the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I have everything, even if I had nothing! I may not know everything about this gospel, but from what I do know, I know that I can be with my family forever if I do what is right, and I know this gospel makes me happy, and what I don't know "The rest I take on Faith!" I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

In living by faith, I attend church each week and enjoy feeling the spirit that comes with going, including listening to the talks, partaking of the sacrament, teaching lessons for my primary class, along with hearing other's lessons. In my day to day life I try to always be the best example and just being a friend to all, because everyone needs a friend. Friendship can lead to amazing opportunities! On my mission, I live my faith by waking up every morning at 6:30 and preaching the Gospel "Good News" To all, Everyone! That they may enjoy the blessings I've receive by being a Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! If I know that I have my Savior, Jesus Christ who loves me and he is The only Way home to My loving Heavenly Father, I want to share that with all! We are all Brothers and Sisters and we should desire all our Brothers and Sister to make it back home together!
