Hi I'm Robert

I grew up in London, I have invented two medical devices for colostomy patients and written a novel, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married with a son, I play the guitar and my wife plays the piano. I would like to write another book, if I can make the time. I like to cook, I make great bread.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church in 1986, I visited many churches at the time, but no-one could answer my questions about God, until I met the missionaries for the LDS church. I read the Book of Mormon and knew I had found the true church of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon answered and continues to answer my questions about the nature of God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. The confusion I felt when reading the Bible was gone, when the doctrine in the Book of Mormon was added to the Bible, everything became clear and I was baptised in June of 1986. I know this is the church of Jesus Christ, that many of the truths lost from the Bible, have been restored in the Book of Mormon. Because of the teachings found in the Book of Mormon, I know I lived before I came to earth and will live continue to live when I leave this life. To me this is the great secret of this life, that we are not here by chance just to exist for 70 years, but we are here live to highest potential, to achieve all were are capable of, with the help of a loving Heavenly Father, who waits for us to return to him.

How I live my faith

I teach the Sunday School in my local ward, we are studying the Old Testament at the moment. My wife and I also have a responsibility to keep in contact with the young single adults in the ward.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Robert
I believe no one has authority to baptise except he recieve that authority from God. I might dress up like a policeman but I have no authority, so it is with the priesthood. Baptism is the gate into the Lord's church, but what if He doesn't recognise the authority by which we are baptised. I know the authority of the priesthood has been restored to the earth, the authority to baptise and perform all the saving ordinances for us to return to the presence of God, if we do our part.
