Hi I'm Kate Olsen

Colorado born and raised. I believe that a smile is the greatest gift you can give. Go ahead, smile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I would consider myself and All-American girl; I love baseball, s'mores, and country music. I grew up with three rascally older brothers and can't imagine a greater childhood. I have the best parents, you might disagree but it is not up for discussion. I have since been blessed with two beautiful sister-in-laws, one nephew and one niece. My family is my happiness and I feel beyond blessed to them for loving me. If I am missing, you can probably find me cuddled up with a blanket and a book. Boy, do I love to read.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon and have always been grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ. Some people might wonder how I know this is the true church if I have never tried any other church. To them I say this: I know that this is the true church because I feel joy. I know I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and a Savior, Jesus Christ who atoned for my sins so that I might feel joy. Through Jesus Christ's gospel I find the greatest happiness. I know that my Savior lives, that He carries me when I can go no further. I know that through Him I can return to live with my Father in Heaven. I have chosen this gospel because of the knowledge it brings me. This knowledge brings me joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith right now by service and love. I just moved into a new ward and do not currently have a calling. I love to visit the elderly couples in my ward as they seem to have the most adventurous stories. Although, I am the new comer they are all receiving me with open arms. I sometimes wonder if there is a better feeling than being loved. I help my Mom with her Sunday school lessons teaching the youth. I will be serving a full-time mission in Vancouver, Washington. I am excited to serve the Lord for the next eighteen months.
