Hi I'm Alicia

I'm a 19 year old student. I grew up in California. I love to laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I go to college at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I am not quite sure what I will be majoring in yet, but I'm very interested in non-profit business at the moment. I love traveling and this last semester I was blessed with the opportunity to study abroad in Vienna, Austria. While living in Europe I also had the opportunity to spend time in beautiful countries like England, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, and Italy. I love both watching and playing sports. I was in a bad car accident a few years ago so I am unable to play much any more but before that I LOVED playing basketball. My entire family has quite the passion for sports. Although I grew up in California I currently live with my mom and two sisters in Kentucky when I am not in school. I am blessed to have been a member of this church all of my life and will be serving a mission for my church as of January 2014.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Christ lives and that this is His true church. I have felt his comfort and mercy. As I pray to Him in my moments of need, He is always there. Being a member of this church brings me such unexplainable joy and peace. I cannot imagine where I would be without the help of my Savior. I am so blessed to be a member of this church. I know I can overcome all things through Christ and the help that comes by being a member of His true church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be obedient to God every single day. Although we may not always understand why He asks us to do certain things, His way always leads to the greatest happiness. I live my faith by turning to Christ during times of trial. When times get hard it becomes easy to lose hope, but the trials of my life are what has helped me become the person I am today. As I sincerely pray to Christ, He shows me every single time that He is there for me. I live my faith by recognizing my trials as opportunities to grow and learn of Christ. My trials have been my greatest blessings because without them, I would never have found Christ. I know that He lives!
