Hi I'm Spencer

I've lived in three countries. I love ski, play basketball, and hike. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am in college. I lived in Peru for four years growing up, and as a result I am bilingual. I participated in high school basketball, football, track-and-field, and cross country. I played the trumpet for 5 years, and was in my high school's musical. I love to ski. The Gospel and my family are the two most important things in my life. Throughout various moves and changes, they have been wonderful constants that have brought me peace, joy and comfort.

Why I am a Mormon

As I have grown up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have really felt of the peace and happiness that it brings me. One of the most important reasons as to why I am a Mormon is from my understanding of the Atonement. I know that Jesus Christ died and was resurrected so that I can be forgiven for my sins, and ultimately become like him and Heavenly Father. His Atonement brings me great peace as I realize that I can move past previous mistakes and leave them in behind as I strive to live more Christlike. Being a Mormon has brought me incredible joy, guidance, peace, and comfort in my life.

How I live my faith

As of January 15, 2014 I will be serving as a missionary in the Chile Viña del Mar mission. I will invite people in Chile to come unto Christ. I am excited and grateful for this opportunity. This is a way that I live my faith. I lived my faith in my adolescent years when I served as a youth leader in my young men's group. Recently I helped oversee family history efforts in my ward. Throughout my life I have also participated in hometeaching--visiting members of my faith in my area, and helping them as they need. I also have lived my faith in giving service to others, both within and outside of my faith.
