Hi I'm Steve Voe

I am a convert to the LDS faith (Feb 13 2010) from a Protestant way of life. I am married and have 2 kids.

About Me

I was born and raised in Yukon, Oklahoma. I moved from Oklahoma City to Portland, Oregon in 2006 where I later moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon. I lived there until the fall of 2013. I currently reside in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am married and have two awesome kids. I love music, sports, and playing videogames when I am not blogging, reading and researching. Hockey is my favorite sport. My favorite sporting teams are the Oklahoma Sooners and Oregon Ducks Football, Dallas Cowboys, Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots, Oklahoma City Thunder, Portland Trail Blazers, Charlotte Bobcats/Hornets, Chicago Blackhawks, San Jose Sharks, Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Cubs, Dale Earnhardt JR and Tony Stewart racing. My passion is music and my favorite genres are Metal, Rock and Electronic Dance Music. I have been a Christian all of my life but since 2006 I have been searching for God and trying to obtain all He has for me. Since 2011 I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I want to share my experiences with anyone who will listen. I have seen a lot of things and I want to reach out to people and be real with them. Why? All it takes is for one person to step out of the shadows and say I love you just as you are! Need someone to talk to? I am here to listen. Oh and for the love of God do not judge them. They get enough of that from “Christians” as it is

Why I am a Mormon

My family and I choose to “investigate” the church because the people we knew that were LDS were strong in their faith and that family was very important and these were two areas we were looking for in a church. So we requested missionaries to visit on the lds.org page. Also we noticed that the church could answer questions that protestant churches could not like where did we come from and what happens in the afterlife. After living in various places I have found that a many churches have an issue with people running it more than God being in charge. No church is perfect but the LDS church teaches the same doctrine and lessons no matter which meeting house you are in. I really like that if we travel to Oregon, Oklahoma or anywhere in the world we can find a meeting house that will have the same format.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the way I treat others. I was born with a servants heart. I really like to serve in the music industry by working for production companies. I love to pass out flyers and promote concerts and artists on social media. Also I love to work behind the scenes during concerts. Another way I live my faith is blogging and making videos about Christian and LDS Theology and Doctrines. I love being able to share what I believe to others.

Are Mormons Christians?

Steve Voe
Christians are followers of Jesus Christ. So yes we are Christians. I was born and rasied a Christian and we went to various churches. I never really claimed to be a Baptist or Assembly of God but I did go to churches of those faith. I am a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. If you are a Christian then you know The Goepel. The LDS church helps you understand more about who you are in Christ. Show more Show less

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Steve Voe
Yes we do. I mean come on lets be real here. If there is no Bible then there is no God or Jesus Christ. People say we view the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price higher than the Bible. THIS IS NOT TRUE. The Bible is just as important as the others. Show more Show less
