Hi I'm Evan Mongie

你好!I grew up in Utah and Florida and currently am serving a mission in Manchester, England speaking 中文 . And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a second-generation Mormon, both my parents come from convert families. I was born in Salt Lake City, but spent my childhood in both Utah and Florida. I currently live in Michigan, in a small city about an hour away from Detroit. I am graduating this year from high school, and am preparing to serve a mission and set up my college education for when I return. When I'm not doing schoolwork, I enjoy drawing and running. I live in a semi-rural area on a large lot, so I spend a lot of time outdoors taking care of animals. When I return from my mission, I will likely be going into international business and finance.

Why I am a Mormon

I remain a Mormon be cause I am at peace when I follow Christ's teachings and serve others. I feel strongly that the path I am taking with the Gospel is superior to any other, and I know that the end result will be joy. The message of love and redemption is unlike anything else society has to offer. As a member of His church, I know that I can be with my family and my future family forever. I am excited to share this message with others when I serve a my mission, and will continue forever.

How I live my faith

Right now, I am at a transitional stage in my life where I am preparing to serve a full-time mission. As such, I spend a lot of time reading and studying the gospel. Every day before school, I attend early-morning Seminary and study scripture. I try my best to be helpful and charitable throughout my day, although I could do more to share the gospel with others.
