Hi I'm Makayla Baxter

I live in Washingtion State, I´m on a mission. I´m a mormon

About Me

I was born in Idaho then Moved to St. George Utah till half way through my junior year then moved to Washington. I am on My Mission in Houston TX. On my mission I have seen how the Gospel of Jesus Christ can and does change people for the better. I have seen families come closer together I have seen alcoholics and people with hard lives be free of that addiction and troubles and live happy lives through the Gospel. I know the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and that with the Book of Mormon and the Bible give us the complete Word of God. I know families can be together forever and that even after we die our family can still be together. I know the Gospel is true and the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church. I love our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I´ve been a mormon all my life so I have had alot of amazing examples that I love to look up to. When they changed the age for the missions i was a mix of feelings. For the longest time I always thought that I wasn´t going to go because alot of things could happen before 21. Then one day I was pondering a mission after my family asked if I was planning to go on a mission. Then on night I took my problem to the lord in prayer I asked for comfort and I asked him "should I go on a mission? If so please help me cause I can´t do it on my own." At first I didn´t think God could here me cause I didn´t have an answer." Then a month later at our churches General Conference which is held every October and April and our Prophet Thomas S. Monson came on and made an amazing anouncment. Guys can serve missions now at 18, and girls at 19. Right after this anouncment was made I was overcome with a feeling of peace and joy. I went and knelt and thanked Heavenly Father for helping me with my decision. I am now on a misson in Houston TX and I´m speaking Spanish which is cool to see the Lord helping me in that to. I know without a shadow of a doubt that God does here and answer our prayers and is always there to make our burdens light. I know if you go to the Lord with your conserns and your questions that God will answer your prayers just have a little faith. I know that the lord is mindful of everyone and wants to help us we just have to turn our hearts to him in prayer. i know the Holy Ghost is real and will help you and you can feel his love and the love God has for you. In the name of Jesus Christ our beloved Savior, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in the things I do everyday. I try my hardest to follow our Savior Jesus Christ and help others strengthen there faith. I love reading the Book of Mormon, and every morning and night being able to talk to Heavenly Father in my prayers. I strive to go to church every week and love learning new things about the Gospel.
