Hi I'm Jessica Noyes

I love running, swimming, pole vaulting, and riding horses. I'm currently serving a mission in Washington DC, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Jessica and I come from a big family with lots of brothers and only one sister. I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have always wanted to serve a full-time mission because the gospel is very near and dear to my heart. I love sports, studying, and having fun with my good friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love the gospel, and I know that it is only through Christ that we can be forgiven of our sins so we can return to live with our Heavenly Father again someday. I know that Christ's church was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith, and His church is still on the earth today. I know this because I have taken the time to kneel and ask my Father in Heaven. There is a great sense of peace that comes over me every time I sincerely speak to Him, and I know that I am a daughter of God. I'm a Mormon because I want to be happy, and I want to share this wonderful gift of the gospel with others. Oh how I look forward to the day when Christ will come to the earth again! I want to be prepared so I can stand before Him and know Him, and know that I have done my very best to be like Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday so I can take part in the Sacrament and start each week anew. Each morning and night I take the time to read from my scriptures as well as Preach My Gospel. I know I have been called to serve by God, and that is why I am serving a full-time mission right now. I am learning to love others as our Heavenly Father loves them, and that brings me closer to Christ myself.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Jessica Noyes
We were sent here to this earth to receive a physical body. God the Father, Himself has a body of flesh and bone that is glorified and perfected. We too needed to be able to have a body in order to go through this mortal experience. We were also sent here to be tested and to choose right from wrong. Heavenly Father has given us agency, and we must use it to make correct choices, even when others around us are not! Now is the time to prepare to meet God so that we can live with Him again someday. We weren't sent here to be alone- we were sent here in families, and families can be together for all of eternity through proper Priesthood ordinances. There is great peace and joy that comes from knowing who you are and WHOSE you are. We are all children of our Heavenly Father who absolutely loves us more than we will ever be able to comprehend in this mortal life. He wants us to be able to live with Him again, and He has prepared a way for that to happen. It's through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
