Hi I'm Jen C.

I am a southern gal who happens to be Asian. I practiced architecture, got marriage and had 2 preemies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Even though I am from a small town in Florida, I was married in the St. Paul, Minnesota Temple. I'm still a flip-flop wearing sun baby at heart. The main thing that identifies me is that I am a mother of not one, but two, micro preemies (a 24-weeker girl and 30-seeker boy). My previous life dealt with architecture, some for the LDS Church, but life today is full of the everyday mom things: feeding, clothing, cleaning, teaching, nurturing, and loving. I wouldn't trade it for a thousand architectural careers because what I'm building now is way more important…in my humble opinion. I enjoy family and friends, blogging, photography, trying and making new things, salsa dancing, rock climbing, racquetball, anything to do with designing, sushi and dim sum.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though my parents were members of the LDS Church, they let me decide if I should join or not. I visited other churches from 8-11. After 3 years, I decided I did want to get baptized. It was the best decision of my life! It is the single most thing that brings me true joy, eternal family relationships, purpose and hope.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the small and simple things in life. I look for opportunities to share what I know to be true about the gospel and try my best to help others. Sometimes, it is easy. Sometimes, it is difficult. All the time, it is worth it.
