Hi I'm Marty

I grew up Utah and I love being in the mountains. My favorite gift is laughter. I'm going to teach Preschool and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm an Aggie. I enjoy music in all forms, especially choir and musicals. I have participated in many productions and acting competitions. When I was a child I was adopted into a wonderful family of faith in Jesus Christ. Even though I didn't stay with them permanently I learned that even though life is hard the Lord has in mind for each of us a plan to become something magnificent. Laughter for me is both a weakness and a strength. I'm not very good at containing it when something is funny and it is very loud! But laughter is the greatest medicine I believe. I am currently preparing to serve an LDS Mission and will be there for 18 months. My favorite books are fiction which probably explain my almost constant state of day dreaming. I love going to college, making new friends, spending time with my family, watching Disney movies, eating cheesecake, journal-ing/scrap-booking, and making people smile. :D

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for basically one main reason: I know that I am a Child of God and He loves me! There IS a Father in Heaven who watches over us everyday of our lives and guides us towards the greatest blessings if we allow him to be our navigator. I know that Jesus Christ suffered and died so that my sins could be forgiven and then when this life is over I can return to live with him for eternity. I need someone who understands the pain I feel and also the immense joy that I feel. Jesus Christ is the one who knows. Hope is the greatest gift I have to hold on to that I do not need to worry about my future. The Lord has always taken care of me and helped me through all of life's challenges. There is no other offer that can distract my desire to stay right here in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know with every ounce of my heart that this is the true church and I would give everything to help others know it too.

How I live my faith

We believe in being clean and pure in all things. I choose to participate in activities that make me feel uplifted, happy, and true to myself. I live my faith by loving my family and spending time with them. It's so important to be together and just talk! Family is central to our Heavenly Father's plan and there is no more worthy a cause then to strengthen the bonds within your family. Everyday I choose to be happy. There are so many things in this world to get upset over and stressed about. But if we all take a more positive look on things and learn to be a little more forgiving, life becomes more a joy then a struggle. Jesus Christ is the perfect example of a loving and forgiving friend to all people. I try to live my life in a way that reflects Him.
