Hi I'm Becky

I am a musician, a wife, a mom, a grandma. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of 5 children. I graduated from high school as the only Mormon in a class of 500. I graduated from BYU with a major in music education. I love music. But I love my wonderful husband, 3 children, and 5 grandchildren more.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents and grandparents and great grandparents were Mormons. But I needed to know for myself that what they believed was true. In high school, I read The Book of Mormon on my own and knew it was a "classic" as it contained true principles that can apply to all people regardless of place or time. Since then I have continued to read, study, and apply those principles in my life. Each time, I am more convinced of its truthfulness and of its great value. The Book of Mormon testifies of Christ, who I have come to love because he is my personal Savior. Because of what Jesus Christ did for me, I can live with Him again and with those I love. I have studied the life of Joseph Smith and I know that he saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, just like he said. I know that Jesus Christ used the humble and honest prophet, Joseph Smith, to restore His gospel in its fullness back to the earth again to help prepare us for His second coming. I look forward to that day. The gospel of Jesus Christ has given me an eternal perspective on life. I have no fear for the future.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve from working with young children, to leading plays with local youth, to serving older women. I play the organ for our Sunday services. I also visit 6 women who I love because of the special things we have shared. I play viola in our local community orchestra. My husband and I have been called to leave our home and serve for 18 months in Armenia. We look forward to "giving back" a little for the many blessings we have received.
