Hi I'm Jeff Kennedy

I grew up in Traverse City, MI. I met my wife at UNLV. I joined the church in 2005. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to play disc golf, basketball, volleyball and softball. I play in a inter-faith church softball league and I enjoying seeing my fellow christian brothers I haven't seen in a year. I met my wife at UNLV in 2000, we were married in 2002 and we moved to Ypsilanti, MI in 2004 and I was baptized in 2005. We have two children that are 11 and 5. I'm currently attending Eastern Michigan University to obtain a 2nd bachelor's in actuarial science and I plan on attending grad school in Economics either for a Master's, a PhD, or both.

Why I am a Mormon

Before I joined the church, it was difficult for me to imagine being a Mormon. Now I can't imagine not being a Mormon. My life is so blessed and I know it's because of the gospel. The more I read the scriptures and serve others, my testimony strengthens even more. I'm grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ in my life. I've seen it work in my life as I have needed to repent and ask for forgiveness.

How I live my faith

I love volunteering in my church as I currently serve some of the male adults in my church. It is such a blessing to be of service to these men and I have seen my family and I blessed from this service. I enjoy helping people move and each month I get to go to a group of selected members' houses and share a message with them and get to know them better. Each Monday my family and I take turns either sharing a lesson, reading a scripture, leading the music or sharing a treat with the rest of the family. It's been a great blessing in our lives to be able to share one evening together and teach each other principles of the gospel. I feel that our family has come closer together through this weekly experience.
