Hi I'm Gilbert

I grew up in Utah and Wyoming, USA. I 've been married 40 yrs I have a great wife, 3 children, and 5 grandchildren I 'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like country life and live in a rural area. I was raised on a cattle ranch where I learned to work hard alongside my siblings and parents. I like to work with machinery and have a hobby working on old tractors. I managed a rail car repair facility for about 35 years and recently retired.

Why I am a Mormon

After my first time reading the Book of Mormon during my youth, I had a spiritual experience and felt as if I was actually among the people who are described there. I felt of their testimony of Jesus and it helped me develop my own testimony of Him. I continue to follow his teachings today as I can see the positive effects in my life, helping me to find true joy and happiness. The principles taught in the Church of Jesus Christ are true and are a great blessing to me and my family.

How I live my faith

At the age of 8 I was babtized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. At the age of 19 I spent 2 years serving as a missionary to teach others about Jesus Christ and His Gospel. I have since been a Scoutmaster in Boy Scouts of America, and served as a congregation leader in the area where I live. I regularly visit the homes of several families in our congregaton to check on any needs that they may have and encourage them to live the commandments of Jesus Christ. I serve as Chairman of our local Water and Sewer District for the community. Along with my wife, I worked with inmates of the local jail to help them over come addictions, improve their lives and to follow Jesus Christ.
