Hi I'm Ciara

I am a missionary, dancer, a big sister, daughter, and I'm a mormon. I love the gospel of Jesus christ :)

About Me

Dancing is my greatest passion, I am so grateful Heavenly Father gave me this talent to bless my life, and the lives of those around me, it is where I find one of life's greatest joys. My family is everything to me, they are my pearl beyond price and I know that I will be with them for time and all eternity. The memories I have and make with my family, everything from football to iPod idol, are the memories that I will cherish forever. After my mission I plan to go back to college and go into medical. I love to help and serve others. My motto is "If your dreams don't scare you..they aren't big enough." The temple is my favorite place to be it, it is where I can escape from the world and be one with God . It is where my family has been sealed for time and all eternity, the happiest days of my life have been and will always be within the walls of the Lord's house.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised LDS and when my time came to turn 8 I knew I needed to be baptized. I am a Mormon because this gospel is the only way that I can find happiness and peace in my life. I have had so many blessings in my life because of it.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission in Phoenix, Arizona. I know that I owe each breath that I breathe, and I am loving to be serving the Lord and His children for 18 months. I have the opportunity to share the peace and blessings that come from living the gospel, everyone deserves this happiness that I feel each and everyday. Serving the Lord's mission is an experience that is bringing me closer to Him and my Heavenly Father, my conversion deepens each and everyday. The experiences that I have from helping others come closer to their Savior is shaping my life and my future. I am getting more of an idea of how to walk the path that Christ did and follow in His footsteps. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

When I was five years old I had the opportunity to be sealed to my parents and my little brothers. Even at such a young age I remember it as it were yesterday. I remember the feelings of unconditional love and happiness. I know with all my heart and have a strong testimony that husband and wife, and families can be together forever through the priesthood blessings through the temple. I cannot deny this truth and I know that everyone deserves that kind of happiness. It is one of the most important things that has happened in my life, it is a memory I will cherish and hold close to my heart forever. I cant wait for the opportunity to be sealed to my future husband and family for time and all eternity. This knowledge brings me the greatest joy! Show more Show less

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

The gift of the Holy Ghost is one of the greatest gifts we have been given,it blesses my life everyday. The gift of the Holy Ghost gives us discernment, or good judgment, it also helps us to receive answers to questions we may have no matter how great or small. It can also bring us peace and comfort in times of trial, the Holy Ghost is also known as the comforter. I know that having the gift of the Holy Ghost has helped me make pretty big decisions, like what college to go to, and to serve a mission. It has testified to me that the Book of Mormon is true, and testifies of Christ our Savior.Besides the Book of Mormon, and words of our living prophet, the gift of the Holy Ghost has been a very big guide in my journey through life. Having the gift of the Holy Ghost as a constant companion is such a blessing in my life. Show more Show less

What is faith?

We live in a world that is focused on sight, that in order to believe in something we must be able to see it. I'm sure most people have heard the quote, "Take a leap of faith." Faith is having a hope for things that cant be seen but are true. For example, you can feel the wind.. but you cant see it right? But you know its there because you can feel it. That's just like faith, you don't need to see something in order to feel and know the truth that it is there. Every day we act upon things in faith without realizing it. We apply for jobs, practice for games, text friends, apply for college programs, etc. without knowing what the end result will be. We are literally "taking a leap of faith" every day. Pretty neat right? Faith is like a muscle, the more we exercise it the stronger it will grow and the easier it will be to recognize in our lives. The more we recognize it the easier it will be to continually act upon. Faith leads to action, I can testify that when we act in faith we are blessed beyond measure, even if we don't necessarily know the reason why we need to. For me I had to take a leap of faith to serve a mission even though at first I didn't necessarily know why, and I have seen blessings daily because I acted on faith and trusted in the Lord. Trusting the Lord is a big part of faith as well. I encourage all to take a leap of faith and learn more about the gospel, and the importance of faith, because it wouldn't hurt anything. I promise it will bless you. Show more Show less
