Hi I'm AJ

I am from LA. I love to laugh and play sports. , Oh, and guess what, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My philosophy on life is to laugh and smile as much as possible. Laughter is my favorite remedy for everything and I absolutely love making people laugh! I also love softball. I was privileged to play at the University of Hawaii-Manoa and live my dream of playing in the NCAA softball world series. One of the greatest times of my life. The softball field/ batting cage has always been my zen places to get into my own little world and find peace. I have always felt completely at home on the field and the game itself has taught me lots of life lessons. My pop has told me since I was a kid, "If you work hard good things will happen." I have found that to be true especially if I put God above everything. I'm currently serving as a full-time missionary in the Oregon Eugene Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it is Christ's church. I know that it is the true gospel in it's entirety. That is my simple testimony.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by actively being a disciple of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for the experiences I've had that have led me understand the sacrifice Christ made for me. I have done many things that I am not proud of, but thanks to the atonement I am able to learn from those things instead of regret them. I love being able to look back on my life year by year and see that I've become better than the previous year. I live my faith by striving to become better each day.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

AJ
The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for each of us so that we may repent and be able to live with him and our Heavenly Father again. It includes his suffering in the garden of Gethsemane and on the cross for our sins and then his resurrection three days after his death. It was essential for him to make this sacrifice so that we could learn all that we need to in this life and be able to repent for our sins and become better each day. It allows us to also be resurrected after we die. Show more Show less
