Hi I'm Frank

I retired from the Air Force. I am a gradute student in athletic training. I am a runner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in New Jersey. I attended the Lutheran church from the age of 8 until adulthood. I ran cross country, winter and spring track all four years of HS. I joined the Air Force at 19 and served for 24 years and was stationed in SD, GA, S. Korea, and Germany. While in SD I was married to a woman with 2 kids and we had a third together. She was a Mormon and I joined the church because I wanted the kids to go to church. Unfortunately we were divorced and I was a single parent of 2 of the children. Later, in Germany I married my current wife who had 3 children from her first marriage. I am now a graduate student studying Athletic Training at Weber State University in Ogden, UT and will graduate in April '14. I love running, hiking, ice hockey (playing and watching), and being involved in many sporting activities when possible. I also enjoy reading and theater.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was raised going to church and realized the important role it played in my upbringing; so, when I became a father, I wanted my children to learn those important lessons. I ordered the Family First video and was surprised by a visit from the missionaries. I really loved the family centered aspect of the gospel and even though it took me a while to really learn about the gospel, I believe it is true. After marrying a second time, I really learned about my role and responsibilities as a husband and father and believe Heavenly Father's plan for us on Earth is the true way to happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to do all those things which help strengthen my testimony such as scripture study, prayer, and attending all my church meetings. I also teach in Elder's Quorum and am the 11 year scout leader for my ward. I also visit the church sites and events in the area as often as possible. It is wonderful to see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir perform and I try to get tickets to their events. As a couple, we go to the temple at least once a month and try to keep active in family history work. As the first member from my family, I have a lot of work to do in family history. We are blessed to have a son serving a mission in the Ukraine which is where my great-grandfather immigrated from and upon his return, we hope his language skills will be helpful for finding more information about my family line.
