Hi I'm Rachel

I work on a farm. I'm in love with music. I love my life! And I'm a Mormon :)

About Me

I am a farm girl! I work and live on a farm and I love to be outside! Whether it's playing sports, working, or hanging out, if I'm outside I'm happy. I went to college at Utah State University in Logan, Utah and I love it there! I'm an interior design major. I love to play volleyball and basketball. Kittens are my favorite! All animals are amazing and I love them dearly, but my heart belongs to the feline variety. I was involved a lot in student council in high school and I love serving others. I graduated with 8 kids in my class! Crazy! I am a big fan of music and I love all kinds. My favorite band is from the UK and there may or may not be 5 of them.

Why I am a Mormon

Part of the reason why I'm a Mormon is because of the way I was raised. I was fortunate enough to be raised in the church, and because of that the values and the things that we believe have always been ingrained into me. It's a part of who I am. Without the church, I can't even begin to imagine how I would be living my life or where I would be. As human beings, we all have the ability to chose our own paths and to make our own decisions, and I'm lucky enough that I've never strayed too far from the church. Because I've always had the ability to decide things for myself, I could determine what I wanted out of life and what I was going to do to get what I want. I had good teachers that helped me stay on the right path. Although sometimes I strayed a little or got distracted, the big picture, the end goal, was always in my sights. But even though there were times when I may not have been living exactly the way that I should have, I knew that I could always go back and that I could turn back to what was right. The reason that I am still currently a member of this church today is simple: I know that there is no other correct way. I know that through this gospel, I can live in heaven for eternity. I know that I will have a family of my own someday, and that we will always be together. I know that I will be happier making the decisions that I currently am making, than if I were to decide something different. I know that sometimes it's hard to be a member and I maybe don't feel adequate all the time, but I will be blessed. My Heavenly Father has promised me that if I continue to keep the promises that I have made to him and if I always strive to do what is right, that I will be able to live with Him again. I know that. I know that there is always someone who loves me no matter what, and that's Him. Jesus Christ. He knows every pain I've ever felt, and He will always be there for me. He sacrificed so much for me, and I will always follow Him.

How I live my faith

I'm definitely a Mormon! I grew up in a community where almost everyone was a member, and there weren't many in my high school who weren't members. I had the opportunity to serve those in my ward by having various callings throughout my youth. I was able to be a visiting teacher to the single women in my ward at college, and it was a huge blessing. I loved going over to a home and getting to know someone new.
