Hi I'm Greg

I'm an engineering professor. I'm a Mormon

About Me

My hobby happens to be my job - doing scientific research. I study materials from atoms on upward. When not in the lab or teaching, I enjoy cycling and running, though I am not as fast as I use to be!

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the Church at 18 years old by the power of example. My new friend at that time had a peace and presence that inspired me to learn more. Though I had always had faith in Jesus Christ and accepted him as my Savior, I never knew he established a Church during his earthly ministry. As I took the missionary discussions, learned, prayed and recognized the promptings of the Holy Ghost, I knew the gospel of Jesus Christ was not only true but restored. Our Father in Heaven has a great plan for each of us; his son Jesus Christ has made that plan a reality; and through that plan our family relationships to those we love are perpetuated through eternity. Though I may not understand everything in God's plan, I have a firm testimony of the reality of gospel of Jesus Christ and its restoration and can act in faith on those things I am still learning to understand. I would encourage every person to take the opportunity to hear the message of the Mormons. It is a beautiful message that will strengthen your faith in Jesus Christ and his role as Savior and Redeemer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by service. In helping others, I feel the Spirit and grow closer to God. The perfect example of Jesus Christ has set me on a path of fulfilling my potential as a child of God. I currently serve as the Bishop of my ward (congregation). Through serving in this calling, I testify that I know that God knows all of us by name and loves us more than we could imagine.
