Hi I'm Barbara

I grew up in Orem, Utah. I am a wife, teacher, mother, grandmother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My greatest joy is being a mother of one son and four daughters and a grandmother of twenty grandchildren. I am an elementary school teacher and majored in early childhood development. Reading, swimming, boating, and walking are some of my favorite hobbies. I also enjoy cooking and spending time with my family. I am a dancer and have taught dancing. This year I will begin serving as a full time missionary for my church with my husband in Germany.

Why I am a Mormon

It was my privilege to be raised in a Mormon family where my parents taught me to pray and study the scriptures. Through their example and teachings a spark was kindled in me and I gained my own personal conviction of the reality of our Father in Heaven and the restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ. I know that Heavenly Father lives and that he hears and answers our prayers. I know that Jesus Christ is the literal son of God and that he atoned for us. Also I know that we may return to our Father in Heaven if we keep the commandments. Our Father in Heaven knows each of us and loves us. I know that we have a living prophet on the face of the earth to guide us in these troubled days. Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, chosen by God to receive the restored gospel in this time. Through Joseph Smith, priesthood power was restored to the earth which binds families together forever. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Teaching children about their eternal and divine nature brings me great joy. I have taught children for many years and never tire of their enthusiasm for life and their inquisitive nature. I have also served the women of our church by visiting them in their homes and also by leading a women's organization in our congregation.
