Hi I'm Christian Hatley

I was born and raised in North Carolina. I am a aspiring physical therapist. I love helping others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently major in exercise physiology at Brigham Young University Idaho. I am 22. I have many passions in life. I love soccer, fishing, hiking. I love being outdoors. I love to read. Big Harry Potter fan! I also like to play the occasional video game here and there with friends. My favorite color is red. Duke basketball is the best there is. I love trying new food and meeting new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because through the Gospel of Jesus Christ I have found peace. Growing up in a family with a single-mom can be tough. We had our trials as does everyone else. I found in a world that is full of darkness there is hope. That hope came to me through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was friends with Mormons growing up, and I noticed there was something different about them. No matter what was going on in their lives, they always seemed so happy. I wanted to be happy too. I started to go to church. I read the Book of Mormon. I started praying for the first time. I received an answer to my prayers. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. It is the word of God. It brings me closer to Jesus Christ. The peace that I enjoy now is so rewarding. I know that there is a plan for us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be like Jesus Christ. I served a two-year mission in Sacramento California. I visit families in my congregation at least once a month to provide service and or give a happy message. I help out with the youth activities, like assisting with the basketball practices. I have often been asked to teach lessons in Sunday school. I attend church meetings every week. The most important way that I live my faith, however, is by the choices I make every day. I don't drink or party. I try to lend a helping hand wherever it is needed. It is small and simple things that increases my faith each and every day.
