Hi I'm Jordan

I am a senior in high school. I am also a great pogo sticker. I'm a mormon.

About Me

Hi! I am seventeen years old and I live in what I believe to be the prettiest place on earth- Denver, Colorado. The air is thin and it doesn't help that all the sights are breath taking but I think I have adjusted! Unlike many Coloradoans, I am not an amazing rock climber, skier, snowboarder, biker (really the list goes on) but I am a pretty good pogo-sticker. I was also bit by a brown recluse spider and although the bite is not deadly if treated, it left a pretty cool scar on my leg and I am very proud of it. I am one of six kids and my siblings are my best friends (most of the time). I plan on studying cardiology in college because I think the Human Heart is absolutely fascinating! I love playing sports of all kinds but tennis is my favorite. I am very blessed!

Why I am a Mormon

Wow where to begin? Being a Mormon gives me so much peace. I know where I came from, why I am here and where I am going. I know who I am! I am a daughter of God, a loving Heavenly Father who loves me, wants the best for me and watches over me constantly. I learn to see everyone as our savior Jesus Christ would see them, with love! Everyone is a son or daughter of our loving Heavenly Father. I am filled with joy knowing that I can live with my family forever. Death is not the end. I learn to work hard to become a better person. I understand that my Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ died for me and lives! He prepared a way for me and all of God's children to return to our Father in Heaven, who is God. I know that I must be obedient to the commandments of God, and live righteously in order to live with my Heavenly Father again; Jesus Christ provided us with a way to return, but we must endure to the end and keep working hard to finish. Christ felt every pain that I will ever experience, he knows me and he knows what I am going through- I am never alone. Although I am far from perfect, I know that I can become perfected through Christ! Although others may hear misconceptions about Mormons, I know for myself that this is the restored church of Jesus Christ. It is not hard to live righteously when you know what you are living for. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

Although I am young, I can still find ways to live my faith. I run cross country, swim, and play tennis. I am in student government, and I am also my high school's National Honor Society president so school keeps me busy! In church, I am president of my young women's class of five girls and I absolutely love it. I try to organize my time so that I won't miss out on school or church events because both are important to me. I try to keep my Wednesday nights free so I can attend mutual which is when the youth in my church get together and do activities such as games or service. I also make sure that after school I am available to attend all of my sport practices.
