Hi I'm JOE TAYLOR

I am a convert. I was baptized when I was 19 years old. I was less active for awhile but never lost my testimony.

About Me

I went inactive at 21. I was engaged to a catholic girl but we broke up when I wouldn't denounce my LDS faith to their priest. Heavenly Father knew it wasn't right. I Then met my wife. She was raised with no religion. We married 3 years later, then we had a son. It was then I told my wife I was a Mormon and wanted our son blessed. At that moment I knew that it was the beginning of my reactivation. My wife was baptized 3 months later. We have been to the Temple and are sealed for eternity. We have been married 32 great years. I became disabled and unable to work 17 years ago. My wife now takes care of me along with the blessings from our Heavenly Father. I truly believe that our Heavenly Father has been watching over me. I say unto any one who reads this "I am a MORMON" and proud of it. I know that the true church has been restored just the way Jesus had showed us and we have a living prophet today and forever more.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been to a couple other churches but I never felt like the spirit was there. Just before I turned 19 I was visiting my sister and brother-in-law when 2 missionaries came over. It was then that I found out they had been taking the lessons. I kinda laughed at them and said MORMON are you kidding me. Well I sat through the lesson and at the end I asked a them couple of questions that they couldn't answer. They assured me if I came back the next day they would have an answer. Well I did go back and after the lesson they had my answers, so I asked a couple more questions and again they said they would have an answer if I came back. This went on a couple more times. Soon I was feeling the spirit. I had gone with my brother-in-law and sister to a few sacraments and was truly impressed. Heavenly Father let me know that I was where he wanted me to be. I was soon baptized. I also apologized for laughing at my sister and thanked them. I now realize that all the crap that is spread around Mormon's is told by the people who know nothing about it. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints is the true church that was set up as the same as Jesus set up. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that we will always have a prophet,

How I live my faith

I really look forward to going to church on Sunday with my family. Evert time I take the sacrament I renew my covenant that I made with our Heavenly Father and strengthen my knowledge the holy ghost within. I have been given a calling of working with the young men and scouts. I truly enjoy working with the young men at the church. I can only pray that I give as much to the youth as they give to me. I try to live my life in the way Jesus has taught us. If I can help at least one person by being the best example then I am happy.
