Hi I'm Paul Willardson

I grew up in Studio City, California, attended BYU Provo, served a mission in Chile, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am single, and I enjoy sports and reading church literature. I also enjoy writing books in my spare time. I am a teacher by profession, and have taught all grades, kindergarten through high school. My favorite teaching experiences include teaching reading to second language kindergartners and first graders. Spending time with family and friends occupies much of my free time. I love the Spanish language and culture, and practice my second language weekly.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the covenant, because my parents were married in the temple, and was baptized when I was eight years of age. I gained a personnel testimony as I attended primary classes, read the Bible and Book of Mormon and other scriptures, and listened to the talks by the prophets. The apostles have helped me so much as I have striven to improve my life and follow the example of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Serving a mission also strengthened my testimony, and I began to understand why it is so important to share what I believe.

How I live my faith

I love serving the Lord; this gives me true joy. I currently serve in the high priests group leadership, and home teach three families. I believe doing splits with the missionaries, and seeking out friends whom they can teach, is an essential part of discipleship. I love to invite others to come unto Christ! I help organize and plan temple and family history activities and experiences for my ward. I love frequenting the temple and doing baptisms for the dead and other sacred ordinances. The Visitor's Center is also a lot of fun.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Paul Willardson
I do not worship Joseph Smith, but believe him to be the one who was chosen by the Lord to usher in this the last dispensation of the fullness of times, when the gospel was restored in its fullness. Through the Prophet Joseph Smith, both the Aaronic and Melchizedek priesthoods were restored to the earth, so that the ordinance of baptism could be performed, and the gift of the Holy Ghost given. The Prophet Joseph Smith was the instrument through whom the Lord gave us the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. So much of the Lord's work has been done through the Prophet Joseph Smith in these the latter-days, that the Doctrine and Covenants say that he has done more for the salvation of man than anyone else, save the Lord Jesus Christ. I know he was a true prophet of the Lord! Show more Show less
