Hi I'm Sandy

I was born and raised in a small town in central New Hampshire. I now live in Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I converted to the LDS faith when I was 19. My college roommate at the time was meeting with the Mormon missionairies...one day she asked me if I'd like to meet with them also, so I did. Their teachings made sense to me. When we weren't meeting with them, I'd think about the things they taught us. It felt right to me. They taught me how to recognize the Holy Ghost. When they challenged me for baptism, I knew that it was what I wanted. I felt so happy that I found a church/religion that made me feel loved and accepted. Heavenly Father and the Savior felt so much more real to me than I had ever experienced.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have come to know of Heavenly Father's love for me as an individual. I also know that my Savior, Jesus Christ, died for me, because He loves me. I felt their love and comfort in my life, and I have received guidance from them as I've tried to live righteously. They know the details of my life. They know my struggles, and they have helped me through them.

How I live my faith

The LDS faith is not just a "Sunday" church or religion. I really like that. Each day is an opportunity to help others and to make a difference by living the commandments and putting them into practice each day. I've done many different kinds of volunteers jobs in my church over the years...some of them are: working with cub scouts as a den leader; working with other volunteers in a literacy program at a local elementary school; visiting other women in my church who may need special help; organizing activities for my congregation; teaching sunday school for children; particpating in a choir; teaching a religion class for teenagers; and the list could continue on. I love the opportunity to help in my church, because service to others brings wonderful blessings of happiness, inspiration, personal guidance, and spiritual strength.
