Hi I'm Sierra

I'm going to Veracruz Mexico!

About Me

I am 19 years old and preparing to serve a mission in Mexico! I currently live in Rexburg Idaho and attend BYU-Idaho. I've grew up in Apple Valley California with my 4 younger siblings. I love music, stingrays, and ice cream!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and I love it so much. I am so lucky to have the church in my life because it helps me all the time. I think of it as not just a religion, but a lifestyle. I live the standards taught daily and I always try to do my best in everything. All the things that are taught are true and I know that for a fact. I have felt them and seen it everyday. I have felt God and Jesus Christ bless my life and I've felt their love so strongly. There isn't anything that could prove to me that it's not true. It is true. Everything about this church is true. I know that the Book of Mormon is given directly from God and it is true too. I have a very strong testimony of the church. It has set up standards for us to follow and lots of people at school wonder why I follow such strict rules, but I don't see them as restrictions. By following them they open up lots of possibilities for me and keep me feeling good about myself. I have great worth because I am a daughter of God who loves me and I love him. I follow his commandments because I know that he wants me to succeed and he loves me so much more than I can comprehend. He loves everyone that much and it makes him glad to see us choose the right. I live this gospel because I feel good when I do. It is really difficult for me sometimes but I always have Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to help me. They know our pain and can help us through any trouble we are going through. I also know that we are given trials not because we are bad, but because it is a party of life. But by living the teachings of this church I have been able to get through the trials I have. They have been hard and painful, but I have always had this church to help me. My Heavenly Father's comfort was never more than a small prayer away and with their help I have been able to overcome the hard things life has thrown at me. I know that this church is true and I love it so much. It has helped me through everything and I am so glad that I have it.

How I live my faith

I have many active ways and quite ways I live my faith. Since I am attending BYU-Idaho it is very easy to incorporate my faith into classes, dress, and studies. When I'm not on campus however, it's my responsibility and choice to live my faith. To do this I activily participate in church/ward activities. I read my scriptures and try my best to be kind and charitable to those around me.
