Hi I'm Lynnette

I am a Florida girl. I love being a mother of 5 amazing children. I love the beach and visiting my sister. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family is my greatest joy. I love being a mother of 5 children. 2 of my 3 sons are Eagle scouts and my 3rd son is well on his way. I am grateful their father has shared the scouting experience with them. I am proud to have a son serving a mission. I am a Webelos (cub scout) den mother and have had the privilege of being a leader with each of my sons. I love watching my children play soccer. 3 of which are passionate about soccer. I enjoy family history, cleaning (I know its weird) and spending quality time with my family. My husband and I have been married for 25 years. I look forward to the day when my husband and I can enjoy traveling. I enjoy serving and helping others. I love spending time at the beach, and visiting my sister and her family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because there is peace, joy, hope in the knowledge I have gained by being a member of this church. I have comfort in knowing that I am a daughter of God and I know that He is always there for me. I have purpose and meaning in my life because I know that families can be together forever. The gospel principles are like a road map leading me back to my Heavenly Father. This world we live in can be confusing and always changing. This gospel (Heavenly Fathers) path is clear and never changing, it's always the same. I know that the Lord hears and answers my prayers. I know I need to sometimes study and search for those answers in the scriptures and from the words of the prophets and not just sit back and wait for them to be answered. I am so glad that we still have prophets today to lead and guide us. Because just like the prophets in biblical times, the Lord reveals to prophets so that we can learn all that He would have us to know. I am a Mormon because as I gain knowledge I understand my individual worth, the plan of salvation, and the importance of the atonement. I want to lead by example, that I may leave a legacy that will enrich the lives of my children and their families for generations.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by continually strengthening my relationship with my Heavenly Father, by studying the scriptures, and following the example of Jesus Christ. At times I fall short, but I know He loves me and is always there to help me through my trials. I seek spiritual strength as I pray daily for guidance because I desire to do his will. I know that my testimony is very important and can benefit us in ways that we can't even imagine. I strive daily to strengthen that testimony because I know it is like armor that can shield and protect me. I am dedicated to strengthening my family. I always strive to be an example of Christ wherever I go and give a smile or a helping hand to anyone in need. My opportunities to serve have helped me be a better individual, daughter, mother, wife and leader. I enjoyed working with the youth over the years from nursery age to young women. I enjoy being a part of the scouting program and being a part of helping boys develop into well rounded young men. Having the influence to the next generation of men can benefit the future of the world we live in. It was a privilege to serve as president and counselor of the women's organization and I benefit each week as I attend my church meetings because it is like a support group as we, as daughter's of God learn and understand our divine destiny.
