Hi I'm Kaylee Barlow

I grew up in a small town - Logandale, Nevada. I just received my mission call to Mexico Aguascalientes. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up I've always loved spending time with my friends and family. I grew up in the same house my entire life, and I love the small town, simple, quiet life. The same friends I had in kindergarten are still some of my best friends today. And all of my extended family on both sides live just minutes away from my home. I've been so lucky to grow up with close family and friends all around me. I now go to BYU, and I love getting to meet new people and learn so many new things. In my free time I like doing photography, dancing, running, swimming, snowboarding, boating, and skiing. I can't say that I am especially good at any of those but I really enjoy doing them.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church my entire life, but my testimony has never stopped growing. I am a Mormon because I know that God still speaks to His children today. Heavenly Father loves and cares about each and every one of us. He wants us to be happy, and He will do everything in His power to ensure that we can live with Him again someday. I am so grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ that makes this possible. I know that Heavenly Father sent His son to earth to atone for our sins. We are loved, and we are all important to God. I am a Mormon because I know that in these latter days, the prophet Joseph Smith, saw God and His son Jesus Christ, and restored the the fullness of the gospel in these latter days. Since then, the Lord has never ceased speaking to His children. He has called apostles and prophets to lead and guide the church. I know this to be true with all of my heart. I know that we all have a purpose in this life. Our purpose is to come to earth, receive a body, learn to become like God, and one day be reunited with Him. I am so grateful for the knowledge I have of a loving Heavenly Father who hears and answers my prayers. Because of this knowledge, I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday by the example I set. I don't smoke, drink, swear, or dress immodestly. I believe true happiness comes through living the commandments our Heavenly Father has given us. In church I have been called as the ward pianist/organist multiple times. Every week I would play hymns in church on the piano or organ. My current calling however is as the ward employment specialist. I also visit specific members in my ward once a month to see how they are doing and share a spiritual message with them. This is called visiting teaching.
