Hi I'm Liz

I'm a wife, mom, daughter, sister and friend. I'm a book addict who loves to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being part of a family. I love to be with my kids and my husband. I also love to spend time with friends and extended family. I also love to put my nose in a good book and get lost in someone else's life. I love to talk with others about books too, and belong to three book clubs. One of my favorite school volunteering activities is leading my daughter's 6th grade book club. I love my current home in the mountains, but consider London, England, New York City, New York, and the Provence region of France (all places where I've lived previously) to be my homes too. I jump at any chance I get to travel. Some of my favorite travel stops have been Scotland, Germany, Italy and various Caribbean islands. At the top of my list of places I want to visit next are Ireland and Russia. I enjoy playing tennis and skiing, but I usually have to drag myself to the gym.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel peace and hope because of the gospel and my membership in Christ's church. I feel happiest when I try to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. I am grateful for scriptures and ancient and modern prophets whom God has given to us to help us better know Jesus and His teachings. One of my favorite statements that explains how I feel about God and my faith is the following: “To believe in God is to know that all the rules will be fair, and that there will be wonderful surprises.” - Ugo Betti I have felt the Holy Spirit warm my heart and enlighten my mind to tell me that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live and love me. They love and know all of us.

How I live my faith

One of the ways I live my faith is by attending church services each Sunday. I look forward to remembering Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for me when I take the sacrament (similar to communion or the Lord's supper) each week. I am also a den leader for a group of cub scouts
