Hi I'm Marta

I'm love to travel the world, play soccer, and go running and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Marta and I'm 19 years old. I just finished my first semester at BYU-Idaho and I loved it. I have lived many different places around the world including Washington D.C, Chicago, and London. My mother is from Spain so I love to visit family there and as a family we try to visit often. I love to explore the world around me and I have traveled to many different countries including Egypt, Sweden, France, and Portugal to name a few of my favorites. In my spare time I love to play soccer and be active by going running.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the most amazing blessing in my life and I cherish my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It is through me abiding my it's teachings each day that I have come to know true happiness. I know that as I live the gospel I can become who my Heavenly Father would have me be. In times of trouble I have found such peace and comfort in it's teachings. I have been so blessed to have been a member of this church my entire life and I have always believed it's teachings but I do remember one particular time when the spirit truly bore witness to me that our Savior Jesus Christ lives. One night as I was studying my scriptures I turned to Doctrine and Covenants 76:22 and I read, "This is the testimony last of all that we give of him: That he lives!" That last part where it says, "That he lives!" truly stuck out to me and the spirit truly did bare witness to me that he truly does live and knows me. I will never forget that powerful moment.

How I live my faith

I love to serve in whatever capacity I can. Last year I was called to serve as a special needs mutual counselor. I would attend special needs mutual every thursday night and help my special needs buddy in any activities we were doing that day. I grew to love my special needs friend and even after a year since I served we still keep in contact. I have also served in my stake's youth council. In this council we planned activities for the youth in our stake. We planned service trips, sports games, and other fun activities. In my ward I have also served the young women with whom I associated with. I know that as I have served in these different capacities I have truly grown to love those around me and I have grown to understand and love my Savior better.
