Hi I'm Anna

I love everything Disney, I love watching movies, I love spending my time with my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm your average college student. I'd go to class, work, and then homework, with movies and family/friends thrown in here and there. I love school, and I'd say I'm still a fun person. I love laughing, and doing silly things with my family, and friends. I'm an introvert, I like my quiet time, and I love sleeping in. I love to watch movies; especially Disney. I love to read and write, but I especially love Art. Mostly traditional art like sketching or painting although I'm quickly becoming pretty good with Photoshop. You usually find me sitting in my room on my bed doing homework or my latest art project. I have one of those minds that sees things like empty glass jars, or cardboard boxes and immediately start thinking of all the things I could use them for. Pinterest does not help my case at all. I just love the satisfaction of taking ordinary things and making them into something more. I love being able to find something most people would throw away and turn it into something useful. That is the magic of creativity!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ upon the earth and that it contains the fullness of truth. I believe that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ continue to speak to us through living prophets. I've read the Book of Mormon, pondered the teachings, sincerely prayed to know if it was true, and I received my answer. I know that the priesthood power has been restored upon the earth and that with it we are able to make covenants necessary to gain eternal life, and be with our families forever. I know that Christ atoned for my sins, that he died, and now lives for me. I know that the Plan of Salvation is the only way back to Heavenly Father, and that it is the best way. I know that He lives and He answers even simple prayers, because He has answered mine. We are His children. I am a Child of God. You are a Child of God. If you don't really know what a Mormon is I invite you to ask the Missionaries. If you don't know a Mormon, go find one. Find one that has a real testimony, and then let them be your friend. I promise you won't regret it. I am a Mormon, because I know that by living the standards set by God I can find true and lasting Happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by understanding it. I study it and ask questions. Once I understand why I do what the Lord asks of me I find it much easier to live. I love being a Mormon because the standards they teach give me the confidence need to be who I am and it helps me make decisions. Everything I need to be happy is found in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love reading the scriptures. The stories from the Bible and Book of Mormon are so inspiring and motivating! I learn something new everyday. Even more than that I love giving service and reaching out to those who may need it, or even could simply use it.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Anna
Being a Mormon woman I like to think that we're pretty normal. we're still outgoing, we're fun, and (at least where I live) we're about the best cookie makers in the world! Ever seen a ward cook book? Ever been to a Young Woman's basket ball game? I'm telling you Mormon women are awesome! YES! we believe in equality of men and women! Lot's of people try to make this a whole lot harder than it needs to be. The short simple answer is yes. Show more Show less
