Hi I'm Angel Lai Kah Yan

I grew up in Malaysia. I love my life. I am a daughter of God and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young woman and a recent convert of the church. I love the gospel and going to church. I love hanging out with friends, singing, dancing, watching drama, swimming, and IT. I am currently studying in University.

Why I am a Mormon

When I first came to the church, I felt the love of the Saviour and the Spirit strongly, and it has continued to grow stronger and stronger everyday. I went to many churches before, but when I came to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I felt that this is the only true church on this earth. After I was baptised, I felt that this is a new life, and I love everything I learned and I know it is true. I am happy and love to continue to learn more and more, and become a better person and more like Christ.

How I live my faith

I actively attend sacrament, Young Women class, and institute. I am currently secretary for Young Women class. Sometimes I am assigned to teach Young Women class, and I enjoy it and learn a lot from it.

What is the First Vision?

Angel Lai Kah Yan
First Vision is a vision received by Joseph Smith when he went to ask God about which is the true church to join after he read a passage in the Bible which says, "if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him" one day. In the vision, Joseph Smith saw two personages which look just like him, having flesh and bones, and their brightness exceeds the brightness of the Sun. Jesus Christ(one of the personages) told him to not join any of the existing churches as they are founded without priesthood authority and They are also not the Church Jesus Christ had organized when He was on the earth. Appearance of the two personages also is a proof that Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and Holy Ghost are separate beings. Joseph Smith’s First Vision marked the beginning of the Restoration of Jesus Christ’s Church to the earth. Joseph’s written account of this event is a powerful testimony of what he saw and experienced. (Joseph Smith’s History chapter 1 verses 8-17.) Show more Show less
